As Ashley is probably the only one of us who has actually tried them all (!), it'd be really interesting to hear how he ranks them all once the public poll has completed...!!
I know what you mean about the best / most innovative debate. I guess what I've been looking for is real innovation in the mobile music arena, and often most innovative is very closely coupled with best too, but I will concede that it isn't always.
As for trying them all, I haven't tried the 3GS ones in the list, and of course they're not all iPhone although mostly they are.
