The BT keyboard has convinced me to jailbreak. I did it early on, but don't find it worth it generally.
Given that there's a number of apps that use wifi midi/osc connections for midi out, you could probably do midi in the same way? Then you just need a portable midi keyboard that can do midi over wifi.
I love the idea, just can't see myself going down the jailbreak route for a while. I can't see why Apple don't open up just a tad
