How about this idea for ReelDirector?
I wonder if it would be possible to make the app available to 3G users but without the video recording capabilities? This way 3G users could use video in the app that is already on their 3G, such as video made with reelMoments or other time lapse apps or even something like one of the video apps for the 3G that I posted on recently. It would also be handy for taking still photos and making video with those and adding text like using TrakAx mobile on a Windows Mobile device.
What do you think? I emailed the developer with the idea but haven't heard back as yet. If I do I'll post something.

you can already do this... at least in the us store. I bought the app a few days ago and loaded up a whole bunch of videos and pictures to render. It totally works but takes about an hour.
