DopplerPad velocity sensing?

Is it just me or is DopplerPad velocity sensitive? I've tried this on a few of the instruments and I'm sure it is, or am I just going mad?

Yes. Same as the one a few months back - uses the accelerometer I think.

I wish it could be turned off because I'm getting a lot of incorrect values (soft when should be loud etc.)

Yeah, nice idea, implementation leaves a lot to be desired.

I like the velocity sensing alot

It's neat and expressive, if a little unpredictable. I would like to see a preset volume slider somewhere as an option. Or a setting for the velocity sensitivity range.

I think maybe we could start up a list of suggestions for the next DopplerPad version to put forward the stuff we see as most useful.

I like the concept of velocity positioning, (where you strike the key for example) much better that velocity using the accelerometer. The iPhone is just not made to accept velocity input. I've been having quite a bit of trouble with it too... and with no real undo or easy way to delete the last part added, this app is not a serious music making tool for me, yet.
