It appears that now you have to give your email address to keep the 4track. Here's what's in it:
Retina graphics
File and Project Browser added to 4Track
AudioBus updated (v1.0.1)

Are they ever going to update Animoog for Iphone? I bought it when I only had an Itouch, and brought it over to my Ipad when I got it. Moog seems not to care about this app anymore. Peter
Don't take a rocket scientist to figure out that moog simply want contact details to send newsletters. Nothing wierd in that, it's just marketing. They are a business after all. iPhone versions of everything are getting neglected and its poor behaviour on the devs part:(
Why do you say it's not popular? It only took 30 seconds to fill out the in-app form, and now the four track recorder is unlocked for free! What's not to like?
I think it's a pretty cool idea to save you five dollars if you register with them. Clearly, they want this information to find out who their user base is, and also for future email marketing, which I'm fine with because I like what these guys do and want to support their work.
Moog said the 4-track was free to existing users. They said this on their website and they said it in the app store. Then they took this feature away until you pay or give them your information. If it really was free, I'd still have the feature.
In short, Moog lied about what we were getting when we payed for a product.
I contacted Moog about this and got some response that it was for technical reasons. I asked what age/gender had to do with that and have not received a response.
To be clear, if from the start they required age/gender/etc then at least we would understand the proposition up front and make decisions accordingly. It's the 180 that they've done that bothers people.

They want name, age, adress, gender and email. I registered, but why do they need all that additional info tho? Weird.

Does anybody try to register two or more 4-tracks with one mail adress? I ask it because i have two devices with the animoog on.
