I hope they give us actual step sequencing, so far I'm really, really digging it.

So still no piano roll midi note edit. I wish they would add that feature.

Apple obviously have some kind of motive for not adding editing of notes. What that is, I can only speculate, but here are two possible reasons:

- They are afraid to make the app too good for the money, thereby alienating other music app developers.

- They want to keep the link to Garageband on Macs, trying to force iPad users to buy Macs to reach the full potential of Garageband.

No 5/4 or 7/8

And it stutters an awful lot on my 3GS :(

Oh well.....

"Apple obviously have some kind of motive for not adding editing of notes."

Apple believes a piano roll or anything like that is too complex for their user base, just like having access to files, so they just don't allow this kind of editing or access.

Its too complex, users don't need that, we know what users need, we won't let users do anything else. - Apple

and they are right of course. It's not a niche app. It is not called Logic for a reason.
