A new app from Sunvox's creator, here are the details:
SpectrumGen is a spectral synthesizer with simple and effective user interface. It is a bit like the PixelWave experimental synth, but now you can draw the spectrum of sound!
Key features:
- • multitouch arpeggiator;
- • recording;
- • export to WAV (via iTunes File Sharing);
- • copy to share with another iOS sound apps;
- • eight predefined timbres;
- • changeable number of octaves (from 2 to 8);
- • it is possible to draw the spectrum and play it at the same time.

Just downloaded it and I will report back as soon as I am done playing around with it.
The only critique I have right now:
Alexander, your last name is awesome and way more "wizard-Like" than Jordan Rudess will ever be.
Long live ZOLOTOV!
Is it possible to turn off the echo?
:)
Of course, echo can be turned off. Press the button in the right bottom corner of the screen. Then you will see the icons with additional app functions:
* smooth the spectrum (topmost icon);
* echo on/off;
* change octaves range;
* load predefined timbre;
* record start/stop.
Beautiful instrument app Alexander! Expect to hear Messiaen's "Quartet for the end of time" coming to an iPhone near you soon!!! :D
Any chance of some user waveform memories and an ability to control the speed of the arpeggiator as well as the echo rate/regeneration?
2Tom TM: yes :) may be in the next release
Superb! :)
I love PixelWave and this sounds equally retrofuturist awesome!
Tom TM's user waveform memories suggestion is a cool idea. Seconded!

Any chance for something like a hold button/function? When I'm playing live with more than 2 machines and want some apps just to play some drones AND need my hands free for something else, it's essential to have apps which can play a sound without me stuck with my fingers on the display ;)
@Burg, just had to say that your comment made me chuckle, and of course, Long live ZOLOTOV!
