I feel his pain. It is probably useful in a full band situation where you don't just want to run the whole band through a mixer and then record it all to one single track in the iPad DAW of choice. This makes any editing non existent. You would have to get every level right on the mixing board and hope for all the musicians to nail their parts on the first go.
Right now we have a great scratch pad but to get full on professional with it we would need the type of multi track record enabled enviromemts @iosmusician1 is talking about.
My personal set up doesn't call for multi mic setups as of now,but that could change soon. I would then be in the same position and would desperately be seeking support like him. It would be a great feature for developers to add. At least if Multitrack DAW could add it then we could have one app that supports the need. It seems like the logical app to add it to as well. Perhaps this is something that needs to be added to @harmonicdog's forum of user requested features/add-ons. Until then I think there will be no positive out come in his search. The feature is just not there.
