i'm not expecting miracles but am hoping it is a significant improvement over the onboard mic (which can pretty good in the right circumstances). the ability to plugin other, more expensive, mics of your choosing is quite appealing too.
seems like a well designed bit of kit, pity i'll no doubt have to throw it away with the iphone 4 when the time comes!
