Tried it, but like some other iOS apps, the timing (even on iPad 2) is glitchy and not rock solid at all, unfortunately. :-(
Works fine here, and that's on an iPad 1. Maybe you have too many apps open?
At 69p it's a steal! But it is a shame that all you get is a TR-808. Why not a 909 or a CR-78 etc etc. :)
