So, what do we think of the Fairlight app and would you buy it?

Is it worth the $50?

Not impressed from what I see so far. This app will most likely suffer a huge price drop within 3 months to as low as $2.99.

Wow...$50 is...a lot.

From what we've seen so far, it doesn't seem to be worth $49. Price-wise, I think this app would be more at home between $15-$25.

If it had really good reviews/looks good, I'd consider buying it for $15.

Really, I just imagine it as a better sounding SunVox (but I've never used a Fairlight before).

I would be happier buying the Fairlight over anything new I've seen for the iPad so far. So yes.

Their coffee mugs are $40, so I'm not surprised that this is an expensive app.

So,If you want to be able to say you own a Fairlight - it's going to cost 'ya :)

I don't see a reason to spend that much on this app. I won't spend that much on any iOS app, for the most part. I like iOS because the price point for most apps is fairly low. To spend 50$ on apps you can buy several of the greatest apps in the app store, this app had better have something to compete with that fact.

Also, the fact that it has no core MIDI implementation at launch and no hard promise to deliver it from the developer is pretty disappointing at this price.

I can't imagine them selling more than a couple hundred copies.

Did you say $5? Oh, I'm sorry, that was the Filtatron by MOOG! Another big name that was fair in it's app pricing. Fairlight is just being greedy! Next you know all the cool music apps will be in the $50 range! Thanks a lot Fairlight! No, I would not buy it! Would consider for $15 or less.

There is somethong very special about the Fairlight sound. Fairlight is not an ordinary sampler. I hope that this ios app also preserve some magic "Fairlight sound flavour dust" that the new flagship model "Fairlight CMI30A" have as an option. (Fairlight CMI cost 19000$)

If so (we dont know yet) this app would be a bargain for 49$.

Come on, its a FAIRLIGHT!!!
