I posted about this a while back, but now it seems that Amazon are taking on developer accounts in the run up to launching their store some time this year according to TechCrunch.
One interesting feature is pricing. According to techcrunch developers will set a list price then Amazon will decide the final retail price and give the developer 70% of that, and if they decide to make the app free the developer will still get 20% of their list price. It seems a little strange to me, and I think we could see some weird pricing anomalies cropping up once they launch.
