Let's try this out for a forum

I'd like to give this a try for a couple of weeks to see how it goes. The new forum is here. I've also put a button up for it too.

I've gone with vanilla as it is embeddable, so you won't need to go off to another site to use it, and it can be used mobile too, which is a big thing as far as I'm concerned.

Let's give it a go for a couple of weeks and see if it works out for everyone.

Applied, love Vanilla, good choice!

Don't know bout the embed tho - try to avoid your sidebar whenever possible... :)

why is the signup review so rigorous?

Forum, good thing. Yet, I just went to Intua's for the usual check up on the BM2 thread. It's just getting crazier every time I do, well, not my fault anyway, I don't post there ; )
Forums can be so bad when they turn bad...Good luck with yours Ashley, at least you don't have any product to advertise about, do you? :-)

I agree Mat, the fact that this blog/forum is independent should keep it largely objective; I'd be surprised if it went any other way to be honest. Common sense has prevailed so far.. Long may it continue!

Having trouble getting in at the moment.. Both mobile and web formats, iOS safari (phone and pad!)

Yeah, I'm not sure about embedding it in the blog...

Also, have you ever considered renaming the blog? I know Palm OS was the focus when you started it, but iOS is king now. Maybe a platform agnostic name change is in the future?

Surely, it's just a case of considering it as sounds in the palm of your hand, Sleep? ;)

Of course, if you translate that to Japanese you get the word Tenori-on. Hrm!

I have found that sometimes forums bring out the best in folks. I think that a focused forum like this will be great place to learn from others and hear what people are doing.

Looking forward to it! (Applied for my membership!)

And I always assumed the "Palm" was about making music in the palm of one's hand...mobile music. Never even thought of the Palm connection. But I say keep it!

I think basically a forum is a good thing. Ironically I can't use in with my iPhone because of screen format size, or is it just me? -)

Looking foward to using it but at the moment it's cut off and not usable on the iPhone.
