Today I found time to get along to the ICA to see Solder and Score, a performance by John Richards and others including Stu Smith. The performances today were the culmination of a week's residence at the ICA with workshops building the machines used in the performance.
I really enjoyed the performance a lot. It was quite unique, and very 'dirty'. My favourite piece out of the performance was where the machines played themselves. As John Richards put it, 'part f the machine is generative', and he was right, they made an awesome noise, and I you can hear it on SoundCloud.
I took a few pictures as well, and I'll put them up later.
