The specs of BM2 look great. I've got a lovely old drum machine made by Yamaha called an RY-30. I'm hoping that BM2 will replace it (then I can circuit bend the RY which of course I wouldn't be able to do with BM2)
My guess would be intua is getting some additional scrutiny because (fairly or unfairly) they've received complaints from customers, not to mention the ioLibrary fiasco...

BM2 = Beat maker 2. Closest thing to an MPC. BM fans have been waiting 6 months for this.....

@anonymous What complaints from customers? Where are you getting that from, and what bearing would that have on acceptance?
And incidentally, the nanostudio update is still in review, so i'm not sure this is an intua-specific thing. Sometimes the process just lags...
