Nice to see them put an actual piano roll, the step sequencer on Argon I thought was terrible. I still feel spoiled with Nano so we'll see if this fills any gaps.
yeah it does look pretty sweet bros. if only they'd done this ages ago - i like the idea of nLog and argon and argon was especially fun to use - though the step sequencer, the pattern sequencer and the recorder were indeed terrible. These things lead to the demise of argon and nlog in my sonic arsenal. this seems to me to be like bleepbox! but easier to use...
Wow, that looks really nice. The price is great too. Its getting crazy how good these iphone apps are, mobile music has come a long way.
I didnt think anything would be able to compete with Nanostudio, especially so soon, but this is right there. I actually think the Song Sequencer looks a little better than NanoStudio.
My honeymoon with Nanostudio is kinda over. I've been using it for a couple of weeks, and have found it quite fiddly as well as frustrating to use at times. And despite popular belief, I DID find bugs-a-plenty, so it's still far from perfect. And I hate to admit it, but I actually missed having Bhajis Loops at times too. It's good that Xenon is coming. It'll give the competition something to chew on. Bring it on! Let's not just stop at Nanostudio for heavens sake! :)
I think I had an email from ice gear shortly after emailing some iPad questions about Argon a while ago. From memory, I think their response was pretty much along the lines of; "We're working on a new synth and once out, will focus on some IPad specifics afterwards."...I'll double check though!
the6thduke - If you've found some bugs in NanoStudio other than the reported ones here then I'd be grateful if you can note them down (if you can remember them that is!) I'm always aiming to improve it.
my honeymoon with NS is certainly still continuing. For one thing, off-grid recording is critical to any real sort of groove and beatmaker and nanostudio are the only game in town for that.
I bought xenon, and it's a really excellent piece of work, but nanostudio is my desert island music app.
Anyway, they are both great tools with their own character. Looking forward to copy/paste in nanostudio so I can import some loops from xenon.

Looks great!
It looks nice, but I get the impression there's no off-grid recording, which would be a showstopper for me.
Looks interesting, I wonder if it has parameter automation... I didn't see it in the video.

It's out in the App store folks.
