iPad to remain on top of tablet competition

MacRumors posts this graph from iSuppli which predicts that the iPad will remain ahead of competitors for the next couple of years.

I'm sure there will be lots of other predictions, but irrespective I think Apple's iPad will continue to do well.

Ideally I'd love to see some great competition come into the tablet market, but without adequate developer support for new platforms I don't think they'll do as well.

I don't know how it works in other areas of the world, but in Montreal, electronic stores who sells computers (like Futureshop, BestBuy or TheSource) don't have tablets, not even those from HP or Dell, but they do have ipads. So if you want to buy a real tablet, you have to order it online or from a real computer store.

And that's the genius behind Apple's marketing, to have those stores sell their products. So even if real tablets are really great (like Motion Computing, Tabletkiosks or even Eurocom), if they're nowhere to be found who's going to buy them?

A monkey could make that graph.
