iPhone App Directory

Line6 SDK now available to all

Quite a few sites have written about this in the last few days, but I think it is still worth mentioning.

“With Apple’s new iOS 4 it is now possible for any developer to create MIDI-enabled applications that work with MIDI Mobilizer,” says Line 6’s Marcus Ryle. ”As an open invitation to developers, we are now providing the SDK at no charge, and are not charging any license fee or royalty.”

I hope that a lot of apps take this on and make it work. Which apps would you like to see with MIDI Mobilizer support?

You could thank my complaining and whining about hooking my MPC up to my iPad and using the iPad as a sound module Posts. ;) Thanks Line 6!

Complaining (common sense) = Change

This is an excellent and smart move by Line 6. It will encourage free software support via apps, and sell more of their hardware. Beneficial for users as well!
