I was really impressed with the tempo sync on Looptastic HD and Looptastic Producer so I thought I'd make a little video showing how it works.
It does make me think that this sort of sync would be great in a number of other sequencer type apps.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could launch one app like Bleep!Box for example and then tempo sync Bleep!Synth alongside it. There's loads of apps where that could be great.
Any thoughts from the developers out there?
Anyway, I'm enjoying using 2 lots of Looptastic. Great fun to play with.

It would be really great to use some kind of internal MIDI to sync different applications or even sync applications with an external midi clock, but I don't think it will ever happen on that platform. The best we'll have is something like Looptastic is doing (and what other devs might do in the future), and its not going to work with apps made by other developpers.
I wish every IOS music apps could be synced via MIDI.. but don't think that its bound to happen.
A friend of mine wants me to collaborate with him in a live-set version of his tracks. It would be nice if I could run Looptastic Producer on my iTouch while he runs HD on his iPad, and at the same time have his MIDI gear and maybe my netbook running NI Kontakt all sync'd up at the same time.
It works so well. Looptastic is a truly pro level piece of kit IMHO. The addition of tempo syncing to other apps would be just incredible.
If there was a clock out via wifi + MIDI it would take iOS devices to a whole new level.
I think I am going to suggest to some devs and see what reaction I get back
