I was right! It was Pianist Pro on that iPad

The video clip from earlier today was using Pianist Pro, and there's more coming to Pianist Pro too.

New features coming in the next version of Pianist Pro:
  • Audio export. Songs can be exported as an audio (WAV) file that can be accessed via iTunes.
  • MIDI import. Import your own piano backing track created on your DAW, or listen to one of millions of classical and contemporary piano pieces available on the Internet.
  • New harpsichord instrument.
  • Added a button to restart the current bar to enable easier syncing to an external beat.
  • MIDI via OSC optimisations.
I was playing with this app only last night and it is great to use.

The iPad is a Musicians Freind

I agree, there are a lot of haters out there for the ipad, but that's because they don't have a use for it. A musician or song writer could do a TON on the road and writing remotely with the apps available for the ipad, including Pianist.
