A new and somewhat interesting looking synth app for the iPhone. Here's the app's description:
Lattice is an additive synthesis system ideal for rhythmic, melodic, or textural applications. The utility is broad, amplification is ideal.
But has joy gone blind? No; there are primary colors in sound. There are primitives to sound, to the psychological constituents of sound; though there is a one to one correspondence between frequency and the reals, frequency is a property rather than a depiction of palpable tone. In this sense, the algorithm used is structurally formative rather than exhaustively descriptive of the sounds produced.

Just checked and I'm pretty sure someone is trying to flog open source code - even the description is the same as Grid...
Yeah, you're right. Looks like it might be a complete rip off!
When I posted it I thought there was something familiar about it.
I sent Grid's dev a tweet and he was like "WTF?".
Don't you think you should update this post? I mean, not everybody reads the comments. People who might be interested in this app should be warned it is a rip-off and support the original dev instead.
This post has been updated to remove the app store reference to Lattice and replace it with Grid
