Cody has asked a follow up question on the MeTeoR issue regarding input:

"Would this work on an Axim X5 (the original Axim)?"

The short answer is that I don't know, I will see what I can find out and post again on this issue. I do know for a fact that some devices can take a mic in via their headphone socket. I know that there was a Toshiba PPC that was able to do this.
