My two PB's arrived at the end of last week and I have to say that I was surprised how strangely satisfying it was to hear my own simple creations coming from the cute block rather than the emulator.
Wondering how I can use these with my Korg Synth Kit? Should work as oscillators, LFO's and effects with the microphone in..?
Yeah, I've only had a little play, just with the example patches so far. I was thinking the same thing about connecting it to the Korg kit. Let me know how you get on.
Worked really well using Synth Kit as an effect. FM of the filter by a Synth Kit oscillator into the delay produced some fun sounds with the PB running a bass or drum sequencer into the microphone.
Using PB as a modulation source was less successful. It works but it's less audible than you'd like due to limited output voltage. (Much like Brute LFO) FM modulation of or by a Synth Kit oscillator was most successfully of the things I tried.
One of the biggest difficulties is getting a good connection from the mini jacks. Both the PB and the Synth Kit can be particular about just how far a jack fits into the socket to get a good connection.
Now realizing that I need to get a lot more inputs and outputs for my Synth Kit...!
