There were plenty of sites publicising Apple sending out event invites for next Wednesday the 12th with the title "It's almost here".
So will it be completely overhyped? Will Apple deliver a new device that really stands out or will it be just an incremental shift?
What do you think? What do you hope for?

Am awaiting more information on the new sync cable which I am hopeing is designed more on the specs of thunderbolt cableing. If so the throughput will allow for some great audio flow.
The adapter will also allow use of present input gear.
I hope they goof up and let the camera kit work on the phone again so I can use my midi keyboards with the phone. As opposed to using the iPad which in my house is pretty much used full time by my family.
I think inproved core audio and AU (apple unit) support would be nice and core audio routing.
Haptic screen respone would be cool but I don't expect it.
