on one hand, I'm happy about this as this means I will finally be ready to pay for it.
On the other hand, I don't see how a cloud-based service can survive indefinitely without a subscription service... it's all well and good until you saturate the market, then what will pay for your server/bandwidth?
Maybe they have this worked out in their business plan with various paid upgrade plans...
