At $220 I think you could maybe get a cheaper multimeter, but even so it is quite a cool idea although probably not for the like of me (amateur DIYer).

Sorry my £10 job from maplin will do just fine! LOL!

I used the tone geneator app a lot but I had a power surge in a circuit and it kind of wrecked my audio output on my old iphone.
I am sure with this houseing they have built in something to deal with that though.
