Testing out a new rig

I thought I'd post some pictures of this as I'm trying it out for live stuff. What do you think?

That... is damn SWEET! Who makes the stands?

Would have been cheaper to buy a real TR808.

This looks awsome. Just don't trip over anything.

Anonymous - Are they selling TR 808's cheep in the Antique ads these days? Would a 808 be a upgrade to flexibility?

This is a couple of iKlip stands made by IK Multimedia and a standard boom mic stand with the boom horizontal. I'm hoping it'll work ok for live stuff.

Sorry for the double comment, I seem to have a problem: couldn't comment from my iPod (pressed publish and seems accepting the command but no post appeared...?) and now it doubles my comment from my PC!

That's a pretty good way of doing it, if you can afford two iPads :P
Seriously though, best of luck with your live stuff. Is it just you or are you performing with someone else or a group?

To be honest, you can pick two iPad v1's up for the price of just one iPad 2 off eBay. Mine's got 3G, and I haven't even bothered to hook that up yet- the internet is far too much of a distraction anyway! :p

Looks great!

How snug/stable is the fit on your iklips? Mine didn't come with a screw so I had to substitute one I had laying around, the iPad fits in there fine but it is a bit wobbly once there. I'm trying to figure out how to make it more stable...

yea this looks like you are flying a Next Generation shuttle craft.

Like some of the others I would be interested in some more pictures. To see better how you are doing it.

I would be so worried about getting too wild while playing and having it fall over blow up Keith Moon style.
