I saw this post over at Synthtopia and it made me think about getting my old VL-10 out. I bought it a few years ago and then realied that I really didn't need it at all. Since then it has been hardly ever used.
I do think it was an interesting thing for Casio to do, but I ask myself, why? Was it really anything more than a gimmick?

No less of a gimmick than the SK-1, and that would be the last keyboard I'd ever let go.
Run it through a bunch of effects.
Score a Mattel Synsonic and a Keytar and start a band.
Yes, I was thinking "Run it through the Monotron filter." Too bad there's no output jack.
