Yes it has been 2 years since the last update to this app. More than two years in fact. Given that, it is an odd update. Here's what's new:
added file system access for transferring ponds from one device to another. ( Copy all the files out of synthpond in the apps section of your device in itunes and place them onto your receiving device the same way )
I had hoped for control of the sounds in SynthPond, but perhaps that'll come along next?

Every apps should have such a system.
You shouldn't need to jailbreak your IOS device to be able to make copies of your project files.
