loopstationzebra writes in the forum about the iODock:
Alesis used to have a blurb on their scant iODock page that specifically mentioned that the iPad2 will be supported. They removed that as of a week ago or so.
So, anyone know if it is or if it isn't?

The only thing thats probably not supported is the (size) way it fits in the Dock. Function wise. Yes. Size and fit wise. No.
Just my 2 cents.
Seeing how it will be released soon, when the iPad 2 is the current model, so they should probably state whether the original iPad is supported, not the other way around.
There are about 15 million original iPads out there, and Apple plans to sell 40 million iPad 2 this year. I think Alesis is smart and they know how to run their business. :)
Plenty of companies have entered the Apple accessory business only to get smacked down by model changes, such as Blue and Studio Six.
As for fitting vs working, it's just as liable to be wrong the other way. The new one is no bigger, so it should fit, but if Alesis didn't leave enough play in the connector, it might not work.
We can but wait and see.
