Only after recording the video I realized about a very important feature. You can work with many audio, instrument and Drum tracks at the same time in your project.
Apparently, the limit depends on your device capacity. I made this track using 18 tracks: http://soundcloud.com/musicapps/energyxt-for-ios-test-with-18
I love NanoStudio and BeatMaker 2 but they can't work with audio tracks. I think it is important for some users.
I guess it is just the first version and can be really good with some updates.
The iPad was used for making the video only because of its big screen.
I know it is in Portuguese, but I wrote a big review about it on MusicApps (my blog). For those who want to try it using Google Translator, here is the link http://musicapps.com.br/2011/05/energyxt-para-iphoneipod-touch-review/
The graphix are bad enough to be a good app, meaning that a lot of really good and some of the best apps always seem quite boring at first glance but hide a lot of goods.

Why release energyXT in this day and age that is not iPad compatible and yet demonstrate it on one?!
This is very, very disappointing indeed :(
This app is 2 years too late...and over-priced to boot
at least there's some control over synthesis and effects... with a few updates it could be good.
A few dollars more will get you NS.

@Marcus
Its so refreshing to read from someone who has actually tryed the app before making their comment.
It seems EXT had some tricks up its sleeve after all :)

Thanks for video and review.
Btw, I was impressed with your song using 18 tracks:)
This is the first release of our app so its very much slimmed down.
Recording audio and using drums and synths is one of the unique features. More to come.
iPad version coming soon.
That is really good news indeed, but we heard that (coming soon) from other devs more than 6, 7 or 8 months ago to no avail... :(
How "soon" is soon?
