To celebrate Palm Sounds being 5 years old Retronyms have put their excellent app DopplerPad on sale for $5 (ok, it is $4.99, but that's close enough). It is on sale for the whole of May! So if you haven't had a look at this app before then take a look now.

This app has a lot of promise. Some critiques though:
1. the sound design workflow is too slow... to many menus/submenus
2. Could use a better way to browse sounds. The list i already unwieldy, nevermind how ridiculous things get if you try to add your own sounds
3. Multiple scenes - this is probably the biggest thing. I get the whole "memoryless instrument" paradigm ... but at least have scenes.
4. Would be nice if the drum pad mode allowed for custom kits.
