So here we are two weeks into 2011 and still no sign of the long awaited BM2. Does anyone know if it has been submitted as yet?

From Intua's forum, posted yesterday:
We've just received a couple of bug reports from some of the beta testers that we'd like to fix before sending BM2 to Apple (we had planned to send it today). We'll keep you up to date, we're so close now !
I can't wait. What a great looking upgrade! FWIW, I remember reading on Nanostudio's forum that one thing that is going to take blipinteractive longer to do a follow up to NS1 was that NS1 was completely written in C and used little if none Apple Cocoa Touch api's- perhaps this is what happened to Intua, and the code had to be completely re-written, hence the long wait? Let the best man win! 8)
I can't resist... The best man has already won. The worst men are full of beta bugs. I'd rather be on board a train that steadily moves forward than one that requires a new ticket at every stop.
Yeah, but BM2 is promising 2 things that will make their app superior:
A) unlimited tracks (synths are independent of tracks, and are routed) B) live audio recording.
If they can get that right, they'll have a leg up. People are so fickle; BM was the golden child until NS came along, now no one misses an opportunity to dog them. BM1 was bug-free and awesome. The only serious tool until NS hit.
BM1 was okay, but never the "best". It was what it was. A 16 sample sequencer with a clunky interface. Just to load a sample you had to go through multiple screens and menus and by the time the sample was loaded I would forget why I loaded it! No trigger modes killed BM1 for me.
The final straw was intuas poor support. I for one will not be buying BM2.
I wish the best of luck to them and hopefully they can turn around the many years of bad reputation they've gained.
The feature set is going to make BM2 a really tempting buy... I'm just not sure how long and how well Intua will support it. I guess I'll wait for some demo videos to decide whether I'll be buying.
Forgive my short memory, but I recall BM as the best thing on the iOS for a LONG time, and I recall at LEAST 4-5 updates for it. Their reputation, in my estimation, was a 4.5 star average review, and solid gold professional reviews for the app.
Let's wait and see... Without this feature I can't see them winning back very many NS customers, especially with the latest updates Blip has in the pipeline.

Icepulse - can you please link the details for live audio recording in BM2. I don't doubt it, just having difficulty finding the evidence. Thanks :)
Maybe I was dreaming it! Could have sworn I saw it in the Intua forums.
@ icepulse
Believe me, your dreaming it
