Mac App Store launches today

I know it is off topic, but I am intrigued to see what pricing is like on the Mac app store and how iOS pricing will impact it.

Anyway, I know that this is something that isn't going to interest everyone, but I thought I'd post something as it is launch day.

I wonder what kind of music software will get past Apple policies and how many will be rejected.

They said clearly they wouldn't accept plugins or anything DAW friendly, including the DAWs itself.

Nothing special so far. But i found soundcloud app useful. was hoping theyd make an app :)

Easy way to get demo tracks up without bouncing.

I've just seen an influx of new music apps. within 2hrs. Seen n-track and some 4 track apps and basic synths. Its looking promising.

Just praying that screenium or something similar turns up so i can record my virtual dj video mixes.

I'm noticing many of the free music apps on Mac App Store are either inscrutable (Japanese language menus, broken support sites, no help) or simply junk. Apple is not screening this stuff at that level at all.
