iHolophone is actually deeper than I thought it would be (based on the feedback). It's basically a rompler+sequencer with an ios optimized playing interface. It appears to be open to import/export via copypaste but I haven't had a chance to get around to using that yet.
Sequencer has variable sequence lengths (up to 32 steps) + swing control.
The way the reviews were written made it sound like it was like it was some kind of iphone kazoo or something. It's hard to compare it to another app directly, but it's features seem to be a superset of funkbox and I pretty much never hear anyone complain about that app.
It's arguable whether the original 10$ was the right price (and that probably depends on your personal taste), but if you don't mind romplers, at 99c it's a steal.

Down to .79€ in the French app store.
1.19 in the Australian store
Pretty much all of Amidio's stuff is on sale right now in the US store. I just bought Hexatone for $2. I imagine it's just propagating now.
59p now in UK store, big download but worth a try out at this price.
dont know if the ios is important but I
noticed that most are not 4.0
Haven't played with this one for a while, but I really liked it when it first came out.
