iPhone App Directory

A first impression of Rhythm Trax

I've been playing with Rhythm Trax on my iPhone. To begin with I found the interface fir this app a bit confusing, but once I'd cleared that up by checking the built in help file it was all quite straightforward.

Rhythm Trax is an 8 track loop sequencer with slots for 32 loops / samples. It has a bunch of loops built into it but also has pasteboard support for bringing in loops which makes it quite a handy tool.

So far all I've done is paste a bunch of loops into this app and then mess around with them a little, all of which was very easy to do and fun too, but what I'm really looking forward to is the FX automation which is next on my list to try out, and was in fact one of the things that first attracted me to the app.

When I've had a chance to try that out I'll write about the app again.

The app is priced at $5.99.

I also have RyhthmTrax and while it is a very nice app and easy to use (when you get the hang of it) try loading some loops via itunes file sharing and see if you have the same problem as me, you can audition the loop fine but when you come to play it in the track view it only plays the first two notes of the loop and repeats them over the entire loop. I have been in contact with the Dev and he said to send the loops and session file so he could check it out, but i haven't got round to it yet. Try it and let me know if you have the same problem/bug as me.

Why ask other people to replicate the problem? Give the dev a chance to sort it out first!

just to see if other people are haveing the same problem, or it is just me, something i am doing wrong or something wrong with the loops i am loading etc.

Can't say I've had that problem with pasteboard in this app, all seemed to work fine

I am not talking about the pasteboard i am talking about the itunes file shareing, chances are it's just me, and i will let the Dev sort it out, just wondering if it is an actual bug or not.
