Instead of your usual re-posting news from other websites such as Matrix, Synthtopia and others, how about including this:

It is BACK in the app store as of this afternoon. My purchase worked last night and then I needed to resync my iPad with itunes to haul it down. Pretty neat from the little bit I played with iy.

"App Inventor" kinda looks a lot like "Game Salad" which I personally don't care for very much ... to the point that I won't have a "Game Salad" developed app on my iDevices. Of course .... what do I care .... I don't have or want an Android anyway :)

If there was something similar for IOS I'd sure be using it. I'm sure I could build a sampler better than most available ones.

(no, the IOS SDK is not similar).

@Anon, sorry if you don't like the stuff I post, often Matrix and Synthtopia post stuff I write about. There's always going to be some cross over.

I also post a lot of unique stuff about apps that doesn't appear elsewhere.

@Marlene, I think the difference between Gamesalad and App inventor is that app inventor is much more targeted at tinkerers rather than game makers, and I think you can do quite a lot more.

@Johnny, I wish that Apple would make it available, but I doubt it'll ever see the light of day.
