The only reason for Apple to block Flash on the idevices is purely business/greed. They just don't want other peoples software or ads that they don't directly profit from on their devices. And not only they will not support it, they will work actively to block it, including soiling other brands making those products using lies like "the battery will die if you use it".
Why are they so afraid of giving users the choice?
Those who uses Frash (not a typo) knows it works well and really makes idevices more useful for the web, yes there is still a lot of websites that uses Flash for menus.
