Nope, won't make a difference. There are some things that end up coming back in style, most things don't.
In the meantime, every local bands I know and played with uses Myspace to make contacts with other bands to make concerts with them. I don't know about the concert goers themselves if they still use it, but I don't know of any self respected bands who does not still uses MySpace. Facebook is still behind in this area.
Agree with johnnyg0. Still use it for my music promotion, as does everyone else. Facebook is better for social networking, though. Different strokes....
