Well, it looks like Moo Cow Music decided not to take my suggestion of a 'Percussionist' app, and went for the bass instead.
Their latest iPhone app is a bass simulator called 'Bassist'. The UI is similar to the other Moo Cow apps, and it is currently on sale for only £0.59.
