I would take the source code of little game park tracker (lgpt), add some nice native synths and a sample editor screen and release it on both android and ios, with both touch based and control pad based control system. I would add more effects columns. always found using a gamepad controller very comfortable and convenient and lgpt is one of the most interesting programs out out there except that it could be evolved / improved. its open source now.
also, I would port adlib tracker 2 to ios and android, giving it a control scheme like that of sunvox or milkytracker. I would fix the timing innacuracies so that it had accurate bpm and add render to .wav so it samples from it could be used in other apps. another really interesting program...its open source now too.
I would make an app which would allow me to chop up a sample into slices, then play them across a keyboard BUT in sequence.
ReplyDeleteSo you could e.g. sing some lyrics all on the same note, then play through the words but choose the pitch for each word.
I'm AMAZED no one has done this before!!

ReplyDeleteI would make a vocal processor app with harmonies based on input music and chords, So, recorded chords coming in and vocals with harmony going out.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a sequencer capable of not only time signature changes, but also polyrhythm and polymeter. Please tell me it already exists!
ReplyDeleteIt would be nifty to have the IPad's interface adapted to a port of NI Absynth. That would be a dream come true.
ReplyDeletesunvox sequencer can do time signature changes, polyrhythm and polymeter.
ReplyDelete@anonymous: thanks! I'll check it out.
ReplyDeleteSunvox is not my cup of tea, but thanks for the tip.
