The wave-based arpeggiator works similarly, but otherwise they're near-opposites. Oscilab has only half as many wave arpeggiators and uses a step sequencer for its rhythm parts, which is exactly what Different Drummer disdains as training wheels. Both are fantastic apps, but Different Drummer is optimised for producing out-there crazy shit and you really need to know what you're doing to programme something normal-sounding, whereas Oscilab is the other way about. Love them both.
Is it just me or is this very similar to Different Drummer but with a snazzier interface?
