Geosynth is great. STFU and GTFO you stupid idiot.

no, really STFU and GTFO, unless you have something intelligent to say,.. which doesn't seems to be the case.

  3. Hey anon on top, is that supposed to be an opinion? Just asking because I just heard a loud fart.

Have you ever heard of musicianship? Or are you just interested in drum machines and sequencers?

    .... dumbass..

As far as musicianship goes, I'd say music studio or GarageBand for all that

Seems like when people diss an app, others jump on them, if I think an app is no good, I'll say so, I quite like geosynth for fun but I'd say it's far from a professional tool.

I don't own Geo, as I'm not a musician and can't play it, but it does seem a very cool controller.
Midibridge is a revelation, and Sampletank has the best samples you can have in an iOS app.
The video shows very well how Midibridge can be used to turn CoreMIDI apps into Virtual MIDI capable apps; very cool, as well as having about a thousand other uses and functions and with the forthcoming update, it's a must have!

  9. There are a lot of great sounding apps out there, but my biggest struggle has always been that there is no great way to control them, outside of an external keyboard. Beyond that, I'm not that great of a keyboard player, but Geo Synthesizer looks, and plays, a lot like a guitar.

I've been using it with Sampletank, with my sound libraries in Cubase, and as a mobile practice tool.

I personally like the sounds that come with Geo Synthesizer, and how it is integrated with Samplewiz, but I don't get the comparison to Sunrizer. For me, they are very different apps... and, while Sunrizer has some great sounds, you need something to control it.

I actually got Geo Synthesizer controlling Sunrizer via Midi Bridge the other day as well. Worked great.

In any case, it's just my two cents, but I'm a huge fan of this app, and what it means for the future of mobile music.

The only other thing I'd say is that there is a learning curve, and I practice on this like I would a real instrument. For me, though, it's a mark of something having the potential to be more than just another app to tinker with before moving on.

    Best wishes.

Thanks for the video. Could you give me an idea of what excercises you practice, or any tips you could share?
I am not a keyboard or guitar player but would like to be able to play this.

  11. "I downloaded geosynth and it is NOTHING compared to sunrizer, what is the point?"

It looks like you just didn't get the point at all. Sunrizer's virtual keyboard is not great when it comes to playing. In every apps virtual keyboards are pretty bad actually. This is where Geosynth shines, it has the best controller for playing, and it can control all those apps via MIDI, including Sunrizer. Plus it has some internal sounds which are not bad, IF you know how to play them, which you must've tryed for no longer than 5 mins.

One other thing you don't seem to know is all the GeoSynth's sounds are provided by SampleWiz. I can't wait to see you crap on this one in every next SampleWiz videos.

So, you paid 10$ for an app which you had no clue what it was? That's dumb, you should've tried Mugician first, its pretty much the same thing, made from the same guy, and its free. Does it feel good to vent about your bad decision on a public forum? I guess its one way to get your anger out. Making disco is another one.

Geo seems like a good app to me, but with bad graphics.

    That I can't agree more :D

I really hope the next version has more skins. I miss the look of Mugician.

I would be surprised if iMaschine doesn't blow it away in a shootout.

"I would be surprised if iMaschine doesn't blow Sampletan away in a shootout."

nah, they are made for different audiences,
sampletank is for the guys that used to buy romplers because they want pianos, organs and such stuff and iMaschine is made hm, for kids that like to talk about themselves with a boom and a bang, lol

  17. To the person who asked me about exercises to practice, I'll try and get another video up in the next week or so showing some of what I've been practicing. A lot of the finger exercises you might see for guitar translate pretty well, if only for the fretting hand. I practice chromatic scales with the first finger of my left hand, then 1 - 5 on my right. I run them straight, then also do triplets (up three, down one, up three, down one). I do the same for pentatonic scales.

The beauty of practicing for geo synthesizer is that you don't even really need the ipad. A lot of it is muscle memory and spacing. If you can tap a rhythmn on your desk, you can pretty much practice anywhere. I'll do different finger combinations, almost like typing, and then see how they translate to the app when I can.

In any case, I'll try and put up a rough video when I can.
    Best wishes.

  18. That is the real beauty of MidiBridge: now it's a piece of cake to swap one app's sounds with another's UI.

Now if some genius dev can do the same thing with Osc and Midi, I would be set

Oh and will someone please go and write some reviews for MIdiB? I wrote the first one a while back when I first became aware of its powers, but since then there's only been one more review. It's so powerful, and the update shave been so righteous, that it seems like it should be getting more love.

I was the one who asked for the info. Thank you very much for your comprehensive reply. If you could make a video, sometime in the future I think it would be very useful to many people, as well as myself.
    Thanks again.
