Dxi is cool, but what other FM synths are there?
Other than the FM features in the last update of Sunrizer, that is.

Starting to turn into a great looking synth. Love the algo view wiggle. Hope to check it out.

Thanks. Could only find the first one in the UK store. Not exactly glowing reviews but at least it's free.

  5. It still needs multistage envelopes. ADSR just don't cut the mustard. :(

And they need to be musical- just like the original Yamaha ones were. You can easily do FM on the Nord Modular- but it's envelopes are just so unmusical. It's a shame really.

I do though really like the way that the oscillators vibrate to show how they are being modulated (on DXi FM)- very cool, it could be an excellent way of teaching how FM works?

Wow, I missed these details when I "update all"ed! This is huge! The video is burying the lead... Multi-Waveform FM! I could never get excited about it before because it was trying to emulate the DX7 sine-only, but now it is far superior. Multi-waveform FM! Finally on the iPad!
