As it seems like a much more functional and rich comment system. I'd bring all the existing comments over as well, but I wanted to know if anyone had strong views on the idea.
If you want to take a look at Disqus, it's here. All views welcome.
I think it would be a good idea, the comment system often times doesn't work properly on the mobile version of your site, and it would be nice to be logged in and stay logged in— I think you might see more comments this way.
Also, there are too many anonymous posts here and no accountability. Just like this one. :)
I think disqus is a good idea, however if you link your twitter account to disqus it will not work properly in iOS. You must create a separate disqus profile. I don't know if disqus is going to fix it or not, but it's annoying because I prefer using my twitter account for disqus and I cannot if I am using my idevices.
I like being Anonymous, and not because I'm a troll, but because I take personal comments very much to heart, and like the fact that people can't tell me from the next Anonymous. I will not be signing up if I have to use an alias. I love Palm Sounds, and will continue to browse the site compulsively, but will stop commenting if I can't be anon. Good luck with whatever you decide. Ps. mobile version works fine for me, most of the time I browse and comment on iPad, and it works great. I also don't have a Facebook or Twitter profile, and never intend to have one.
The benefit is slightly faster comment loading and a few features, but there are downsides, especially duplicate comments and less control over spam filtering.
Research these things on the Net and make sure you understand the pros and cons.

I'd watch out for Disqus and Intensedebate.
