Really nice that it is a free upgrade for existing users. Bravo!

That said, the original app isn't great.

  2. For me the ui and the fact you have to scroll across to reach the other decks let it down. The fact it had full libary access as well as a decent cue made it better than most for me. But not as good as the big names.

This does raise the bar. Not having to but a toy like controller like that numark for Djay

  3. Greetings!

Thanks for the feedback. We are constantly working to improve the product and make our users happy. Last year we focused on the functionality that people were really looking for, like BPM detection and library access. But there's always more to do.

Since we launched, we've been brainstorming what would be the most effective UI. Several users were not happy with the multi-screen layout. But we also were concerned with attempting to cram everything into the same screen.

With the iPad, we've been given the double opportunity to take a fresh look at the design for a new device as well as for the current devices. So, in Quixpin 2.0, we're happy to announce that it will have a completely new look and feel. No more multiple screens!

Feedback is always welcome. We are committed to the ongoing development and making it better.

    Thanks again,

    - George

Great to see everything on 1 screen! This was among my list of DJ apps to test and while having a play with the current version on my iPad over the weekend, it was pretty much impossible to use the cross fader and nudge the speed of a track during a mix since they were on separate pages.

A bargain at the current price though especially with the promise of a free upgrade to 2.0

  5. Yes, having everything on one screen is a big improvement we've been looking forward to releasing for quite a while.

Quick tip: if you drag your finger across the wave form, it will nudge the pitch of the currently PFL'ed track, speeding it up or slowing it down temporarily. You can also use pinch gestures.
