Here's an interesting app from the perspective of how it does what it does.
Autoflip is an advanced sheet music viewer that automatically turns the pages in sync with your performance by actually listening to how you are playing. It can account for variations in tempo as well as minor mistakes. Autoflip version 1.0 is optimized for solo performances using keyboard instruments.
Autoflip works with any sheet music in PDF format. You can enable automatic turning for each new piece by running it through a simple training session. A training session is simply you playing the piece and turning the pages! After that, all you have to do is play and Autoflip will take care of the turning.

ReplyDeleteI find that .pdf scores tend to stay "out of focus" for a few seconds after each page turn in iBooks...is this the same with this app? It's very frustrating, and I hope this app prevents that from happening, but I hate to drop the $8 on it if it still has this issue...anyone try it yet?
ReplyDeletedoes it follow where you are in the song by scaning the pdf and turnes it into midi and then record you playing trough a midi adapter or does it just have a metrenome that you follow?
