We've talked about the CCK a lot recently, especially with the introduction of iOS 4.2 and Core MIDI. Now the CCK is a really important, (and inexpensive) bit of kit, and an excellent present for any mobile musician.

    The camera kit has no way to power/charge the iPad.

    Personally I am looking out for iconnectmidi.

    It would be infinitely better with internal usb and SD ports . The ipad just looks silly when they're connected. It also brings a lot of compatibility issues as usb devices needs to deal with the port and the Apple pin connector.

    I wouldn't be surprised to see them on board in future versions.

    I'm sure we won't have to wait too long to find out what Apple are doing with iPad 2.0.
