Make on the LinnStrument

Make writes about Roger Linn's LinnStrument and the fact that the touch screen he used is no longer available.

It would really be such a huge shame if an instrument like this didn't see the light of day.

As much as I would like to see something like that being done commercially , its cost would need to be pretty low. With the Jazzmutant Lemur, the ipad, and every other touchscreen computer that can be used pretty much the same way, it would need to cost a lot less than any of those... but still when I look at the Doepfer ribbon controller which is around 500$, I doubt the price would be that low.

For a while I wanted to build myself a ribbon controller, and during my research I found many companies providing different types of touch surfaces and controllers. My only problems is that all those controllers would only send out CV signals and I don't have a CV synth so I would be required to find some kind of CV to MIDI converter, and that added a lot to the overall price.
