This has got to be in response to the success of the Gakken SX-150?
ReplyDeletei agree. but this sounds way better.
ReplyDeleteanyone know the price?
I'd get it just for the filter.
ReplyDeleteThe big companies need to put out more inexpensive, fun and useful stuff like this.r
Sounds?! To be honest, I'm a little dissapointed with the monotron. It should have midi in and out (especially out). I'll think I'll just save the money for an iPad instead, especially when you consider how good the next version of NLog is going to be!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll get a monotron for the kids? :p
Yeah, those sounds are a buttload better than the ones I get from the Gakken...
ReplyDeleteThe reason the Gakken sounds so shit, is that the 'speaker' (should be called a "squawker" ;) ) is designed to be used in alarm systems, and therefore lacks the lower frequency range of a higher quality unit. Have you tried putting the Gakken through proper studio monitors? There is a vast improvement to the sound, if you do that. I also imagine that the Mono is using the same technology that built the Prophecy, and all the Elektribes? It's bound to sound 'better'.
